Katherine Plouffe and Dylan Ennis have been named the Toyota Players of the Week for May 2-9.

Plouffe, a native of Edmonton, AB, continues to make an impact in Ligue Feminine de Basketball (LFB) in France and in Basket Landes’ last two victories averaged 13.5 points, 7 rebounds and 2 assists per game. Before playing professionally, the 6’3” forward played for Marquette University (NCAA) where she averaged 17.1 points and 10.2 rebounds in her final year. As a Golden Eagle, Plouffe was named the Big East Scholar Athlete of the Year and further recognized as the school’s ninth all-time scorer (1551 points) and fourth-leading rebounder (973). Plouffe made her Team Canada debut at the 2010 FIBA Americas U18 Championship for Women after playing at the National Elite Development Academy. She previously helped Canada secure a fifth place finish at the 2014 FIBA World Championship for Women and take home a pair of gold medals the year after at the 2015 Pan American Games and the 2015 FIBA Americas Women's Championship. Plouffe, who retired from the Senior Women’s National Team in 2019, has transitioned to 3x3 where she is currently the top ranked Canadian and fourth overall in the FIBA 3x3 Individual World Rankings.  

Playing professionally in Europe since 2017, Ennis currently calls Spain home where he plays for Casademont Zaragoza in Spain’s Liga ACB. Last week, Ennis scored 24 points, while adding nine assists and five rebounds to lead Zaragoza to a 89-77 win over Strasbourg to secure bronze at the FIBA Champions League Final 8 tournament. In 35 games this season, the 6-foot-2 Brampton native averaged 15.9 points, 3.2 rebounds and 3.2 assists. Ennis has proved his game in Europe, being named to the All-EuroCup Second Team in 2019, and to the All-Champions League Second Team the last two seasons. The shooting guard played his freshman year of college basketball at Rice University, before transferring to Villanova University where he helped the Wildcats win the Big East championship in 2015. In his final year of eligibility, Ennis transferred to the University of Oregon where he would find his way to the 2017 NCAA Final Four with the Ducks, averaging 10.9 points, 4.4 rebounds and 3.1 assists in his final year.
